Grant Petering

Grant Petering was appointed a partner of the firm on 1st July, 1997.

During the past fifteen years Grant has advised a wide range of clients on accounting and taxation issues.  His main interest lies in assisting family businesses with such issues as taxation, estate planning, business planning and wealth creation.

Grant has a broad knowledge of taxation matters, and has acted as a tutor in Taxation for the ICAA’s Professional Year course.




John Volders

John Volders commenced employment in the accounting profession in 1979.  He first worked in the audit division and from there moved into private business division.  Here he established his interest in management accounting and taxation issues which continue to this day.  He enjoys working with the owner operators of businesses.

John believes budgeting and monitoring of cash flows to be a vital part of any business in operation today.  This combined with effective tax planning should provide business operators with some of the tools for success in any business.

He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and a fellow of Taxation Institute of Australia.  He is also a member of the Institutes Quality Control Reviewer Panel.

John has been a partner with Orr, Martin & Waters since 1986.


Larry Gilmour

Larry Gilmour joined Orr, Martin & Waters in 1985 and has been a partner with the firm since 1987.  Larry is a family man, married with four children.

As a registered company auditor, Larry heads the audit division of the firm.  Whilst heading the audit division, continued work in the accounting and taxation areas often assists during the audit process.

A personal interest in information technology provides another hat to wear.  His work in this area has resulted in him gaining a high level of expertise and knowledge with respect to computer hardware, software and systems.

Overall a general practitioner, with many of the aspects, and business acumen clients have come to expect from a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Larry finds time to represent the Institute of Chartered Accountants on the Australian Tax Practitioners Forum and as a member of the Tax Office Contact Advisory Group.

Most recently Larry has accepted the position of Chairman of the Chartered Accountants AAA Tax Series.
